Box kit Essential Chemistry, Electrochemistry

Another old science kit, as I'm doing some spring cleaning in my room I found the remnants of the kit.

Here are promotion pictures of the actual kit found online from lovingtruthbooks.com :

There are 2 experiments: the first one is a simple find out the pH of vinegar experiment, the second one is building a tank that lights up a small LED.

The tank contains slots where you can insert the given copper and zinc plates, and connect them to the LED via the wires. Pouring vinegar into the compartments will light the LED up.

In my opinion the tank itself looks like a cool contraption for kids but its that simple. However what I recalled when pouring the vinegar into the tank is how dim the light turned out to be.

Theres alot of rust inside (I dont remember cleaning this after pouring out the vinegar) so I dismantled it on a tray

Remembering how dim the LED was, I did not waste any vinegar on trying to light it up.
